So, for all that have been following me on my social media platforms (Instagram: iammayphua, Facebook page: May Phua) you would have known that about 2 years ago I was diagnoised with a herniated disc on my L5 & L4. To a girl that loves style and dressing up, that means my heels for daily wear have to go.
These days I indulge in flats and I especially love my sneakers and leather bluchers! I wear them with almost everything. A dress, a mid length skirt to my cropped jeans. I really love them as it gives a sporty take to my feminine style. I use to worry, without my heels, would I look trendy? Would I look not lengthy and confident enough? Would I look too casual? Through experiences I have realised, the key to nailing a good look is to truly feel comfortable in it and love it.
So the truth is, the key person judging yourself is You! I mean I can put on the most expensive and in trend heels and outfit but because my back is aching from the pain of the heels and I am uncomfortable in the outfit, it's going to show on my face and the way I carry myself for that day. So when You believe in it, the confidence and energy you exudes, it's going to worth more than everything put together.
So do not confine or restrict yourself to the ideas and views of others and society.
