This is a long overdue blog. I have been meaning to update since I came home from Korea but was seriously down with a bad cold having to run under the rain in the cold weather. I could have borrowed an umbrella from the concierge but eagerness to reach my destination had me running all the way from the hotel to the subway which was a good 400m away. Well, that's me, eager, inpatient and most times running around like a lost bull (by the way, true to my horoscope's reading as a Tuarian!).
This trip to Korea was decided very last minute and as usual having very little time to pack meaning little time for planning!!! Disastuous! Thank goodness, I have my LBD to fall back on. I love layering and a simple LBD with the right accessories and layering can bring us from day to night and sometimes...for days:)
I like this simple black dress with the fringes below. Pair it with my current fave of flats and gold accessories and it's a great dress with a twitch of edginess!
I brought along 2 black tops one sleeveless for another casual day look and the longer sleeve top with a nice knotty detail at the front for a more sophisticated night look.
See the overlaying? I simply love how the material falls and the asymmetical cuts of the sleeveless vest just give a very relax, casual yet chic look.
The current craze of korean pop has got me loving their korean desserts...so heres my current love..
Coffee layered with Caramel sherbet! The abundance of assorted nuts and cereals creates so much depth to the taste, its simply...delicious beyond words could describe! Okie, I'm over exaggerating. But it's really delicious!
After desserts, I head back to the hotel for a change. So I changed into a pair of gold heels, put on the longer sleeve top, and Viola!
Picture was taken in the hallway, hence the dimmed lights.. I had to brighten the picture so we can see the details:)
The top is pretty tight fitting so it actually helps to bring the top of the dress in and gives the dress an imaginary empire cut on the top. Great for heavy bottoms like me!
So that's my little tip when travelling overseas how we can better utilize our lugguage space and not bring so much clothing yet bring ourselves from a relaxed day wear to a sophisticated wear.
On a side note, Korea is truly a fashion haven! There's so much to see and to buy. Will be updating soon my K Pop street style too! heehee....
